Review
What if Ferris Bueller had a kid with Regina George? I present the original spoilt, rich girl of the 90s: Cher. This movie is maddd rewatchable, and its high school culture is just really cute to go through. The driving scenes are all hilarious, and the relationships between all the characters are still pretty well fleshed out. Of course, Cher’s house and wardrobe are fabulous, as is the chiq 90s styling for the retro-plastics. Paul Rudd’s Josh stole the show with most scenes (almost enough for me to give him the win), and his chemistry with Silverstone made watching them together really entertaining. Plus, they were both super attractive back in the day. A chick-flick to the finish, this one’s in the bank to keep you entertained on a rainy day.
Spoiler Territory
Sure, there’s not exactly an important plot, but still, spoilers. I have to say, I don’t know if it’s ambiguous writing, but I didn’t know who was going to end up with who at the end. The only indicator could have been the lack of screentime for Travis, and the fact that Paul Rudd is a lot better known. Their pairing in the end was a little awkward, ex-step siblings and all, but they were both charming enough to pull it off.
