Review
So this wasn’t bad. It was a netflix movie, and it was marketed pretty well. Enola breaks the fourth wall a lot, so that’s definitely fun to watch. Obviously, this movie isn’t perfect, with Mycroft (Sam Claflin) being completely intolerable for the first half, and Sherlock (Henry Cavill) being completely watered down (especially after watching the BBC Sherlock). But otherwise, Enola was likeable, and she had great chemistry with Lord Tewksbury (Louis Partridge). A supporting cast of Helena Bonham Carter as the mom and Fiona Shaw was fun, staying true to the British theme of the cast. The story itself wasn’t bad, if a little disjointed, but the moral was extremely relevant to 2020’s audience (what with all the protests and human rights campaigns), and it was pulled off well.
Spoiler Territory
Not really spoiler-sensitive.
