Review
Honestly this is the best movie ever made. From the first second of it to the last, I wasn’t once tempted to take my eyes off of it. The characters were great, and they complimented each other well. This movie has some heart, and is just a whole lot of fun. There’s a lot of different tones in the movie, but they never feel disjointed. Of course, the soundtrack is legendary, featuring songs by the Beatles and even the Star Wars Theme. The movie’s representation of peak 1900s culture is so good that if I had to show aliens one movie to give them an impression of humans it would be this. Ferris Bueller’s effortless charm and wit makes him possibly the most likeable character of all time - certainly in my book. Mia Sara’s Sloane is insanely good looking and has a sophisticated grace that makes her character so much more than just a supporting role. Of course, Cameron was the heart of the movie, and his relationship with the Ferrari was both hilarious and fabulous character growth. Gene’s character growth was also immensely satisfying, as was Rooney’s ultimate downfall. This will forever be my go-to movie.
