Review
It looks bad, but it's really not. Films like this are usually marketed in a way that just makes them seem useless, but it was enjoyable. Bek and Zaya's (Courtney Eaton) romance was heart-warming, Horus (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Hathor (Elodie Yung) were pretty god-like, and Thoth (Chadwick Boseman) was so weird. So hit and miss, I guess, but mostly pretty solid. Set (Gerard Butler) was a cool villain, and his arc made sense mostly. Either way, watching a mortal talk back to gods is entertaining enough to come back to. I don't really mind the whitewashed cast, but I'm not Egyptian, so... either way, I would definitely choose acting over accuracy in that way, even if it's just me. CGI really didn't hold up in some fights, and one of the initial cuts was SO BAD, but mostly it's good to watch. Bit overstuffed with myths and stuff, but the main story isn't bad.
