Review

Usnavi is a pretty cool name, even if its origin is super stupid (still realistic). Lin-Manuel Miranda is awesome at writing, and Anthony Ramos is a pretty good protagonist, even if this movie is carried by its "community" feeling and cast. Vanessa (Melissa Barrera) is pretty cool, and Nina (Leslie Grace) is a cool kind of character who goes through a journey that isn't too prominent in the movies. Plus, Leslie Grace is awesome. Carla (Stephanie Beatriz) is funny, and Benny (Corey Hawkins) has some really great scenes - especially the gravity-defying dance. There's a lot of heart in this movie, and I enjoyed the little insertions of Spanish here and there in the dialogue. The changing POVs gave us the chance to view the community from every perspective. Sonny (Gregory Diaz IV) was definitely a great piece to add, and the colours everywhere made the movie much easier to watch.

Spoiler Territory

Not really spoiler-sensitive.
