Review
I'm not exactly a Tarantino fan, but I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. Its “highs” were really high, and I bet it definitely goes down as a guilty pleasure movie for a lot of people. Tarantino's reinvention of history is really entertaining, especially with the characters of Hans Lamda and Brad Pitt's Aldo Raine, both of whose unique characters are insanely entertaining to watch. The length of this movie is an issue, as it is with most Tarantino movies, taking out some of the urgency from the story. Otherwise, the opening was constructed beautifully, and the character introductions were iconic. The cast was certainly impressive; Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, Michael Fassbender, Diane Kruger, Melanie Laurent, Daniel Bruhl. The portrayal of Hitler is also pretty hilarious to watch, and is very much in tone with the rest of the movie's theme - the cinemafiction of one of the biggest tragedies in human history (WWII).
