Review
This one starts a bit slow, especially in comparison to the first movie, and its cast isn't as stacked. Still, it has a good progression, and a lot of the set-pieces are really fun to watch. Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard's chemistry is once again really captivating, and even though the Maisie Lockhart (Isabella Sermon) b-story might seem frustrating at first, it pays off with some pretty good story potential in the end. The villain wasn't really as good as last time, and the new comic relief duo weren't as relatable as the brothers from the last film, but in terms of watchability, it's pretty solid.
Spoiler Territory
So the scene with them floating away from the park on the barge, watching the bracchio die was pretty sad. The whole die-hard thing that they had going on at the estate was cool too, and would have been fun to see more of. The TRex didn't do much, but its establishing ‘roar' shot was pretty satisfying. The science guys were pretty boring. Indo Raptor was a discount Indominus Rex, really nothing in comparison to the first villain in terms of awesomeness. Blue did clutch up though, which is good. The ending was pretty mad in terms of consequences, and it'll be cool to see how they continue. Also Goldblum's cameo wasn't the best.
