Review
Yeah, I'm a pretty big Dylan O'Brien fan, so it's great to see him star in movies like this. Definitely entertaining as ever, popcorn flick if I ever saw one, with just enough heart to keep you in your seat. Joel has chemistry with all the other characters that he interacts with (including a dog and a robot, so that's impressive). I like the motivation and the whole arc that the movie tries to get across - it's idealistic but also not cliche and perfect, and it tells you to go take your chances. Solid message. Aimee (Jessica Henwick) is pretty cool, but both Minnow (Ariana Greenblatt) and Clyde (Michael Rooker) have more screentime than her, and are pretty funny. Watching Minnow and Joel interact is great. The ship stuff at the end was okay, and the crab scene was actually pretty cool, if you can suspend your disbelief.
