Review
I remember watching this as a kid and just thinking about the wide range of emotions that I felt. There's the wonder of the future, curiosity of the weirder elements, fear at the dystopian visions, elation at the conclusion, and lots of anticipation throughout. Like most movies adapted from books, the plot is just exemplary, and the suspense is held for just long enough for the reveal to be cathartic. The animation itself does a great job of making the future seem awesome (from Lewis' eyes), and in particular, meeting the Robinsons is so fun. They all seem like such a chaotic group, but if there was ever a way to elicit envy of a family in the future, this is it. So yeah, all the loose ends type up horrendously well, and I just feel really sentimental now. That quote at the end hits really hard - Walt Disney is the man.

Young Goob was hilarious, and I didn't actually think he would become a supervillain (even after having watched this in the past) because that's just how most kids are now. Scary. Future Goob was a little creepy, but his arc was great, and even DORIS was a decent antagonist, all things considered. Anyway, Mildred (orphan house lady) gets MVP for best pep talk ever, but honestly all the adults in this movie are just insanely supportive. Wilbur and Lewis' relationship is cool, and I just LOVE the time machine designs. Franny is adorable as both a kid and adult, and older Cornelius is just so relieving to watch (Tom Selleck is cool, and the joke was pretty on point too).
