Review
In this movie's defence, it's not half as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Personally, I don't have a big problem with the casting of Annabeth, especially considering Alexandra Daddario is super attractive anyway, and has pretty solid chemistry with Logan Lerman's Percy Jackson. The standout scenes from this movie would probably be the capture the flag fight at camp, and then the Vegas Poker Face montage. Brandon T. Jackson was pretty funny in what was an otherwise more expository type of movie, with even super talented cast members (Sean Bean, Pierce Brosnan) being underwhelming. Rosario Dawson's Persephone was pretty random, but it was funny nonetheless. The villains in this movie were the main issue, with Luke being pretty much a million times worse as a villain than as a hero. Seemed like the movie might have been able to benefit from a little more budget, but it was still rewatchable if only for the nostalgia of Riordan's books.
