People who like musicals, realistic dramas, and mature romance movies. Intimacy, swearing.
Rewatch Time:
It’s 2h15, and LONG, but the songs definitely keep it fresh. Probably spam it after first watch and then repeat in a few years.

Ally (Lady Gaga)
Review
I feel like this movie was just a great opportunity for everyone to show off their skills. Lady Gaga was awesome at flexing her voice, as well as her emotional acting, and Bradley Cooper as Jackson Maine was definitely a really cool deuteragonist. They had great chemistry, and Cooper’s directing was really complimentary to stressing the emotional instability of both of the main characters. Bobby (Sam Elliot) was definitely a good emotional backup to Jackson’s story, Ramon (Anthony Ramos) was funny, and Rez (Rafi Gavron) played a vital role in delving into the effects of going into showbusiness and the kind of people who have influence over artists’ creativity. Shallow is the highlight, of course, just an absolute great song, and I’m glad that they used it so well in the movie. The intimacy between Ally and Jackson was really unique and personal, and Jackson’s drinking issues were definitely a factor in everything that happened. The ending wasn’t bad, but they did manage to capitalize on the opportunity to be idealistic with the quotes.
